Meet the author: Donna Cain

Writing is a wonderful tool with which to express thoughts and ideas that otherwise may be long forgotten.  A book or manuscript provides the opportunity to complete the thought or idea and also to share it with others.

The research for The Bible Code in Plain Text began over 16 years ago when Ms. Cain's writings were beginning to be published.   Prior to that, she spent 15 years in the business world, primarily working for a Fortune 500 Company.  Ms. Cain returned to school in 1992 to complete an undergraduate degree in philosophy.  While at the University, she wrote an undergraduate honors thesis, entitled The Acquisition of Knowledge According to the Theories of Jean Piaget, which was published without revision in October 1997 in the Proceedings Eleventh National Conference on Undergraduate Research, Volume 1, Robert D. Yearout, Editor, publishers: The University of North Carolina at Asheville.  Ms. Cain’s thesis was among 407 papers that were chosen from 1825 papers that were submitted.   Ms. Cain also presented her thesis at the Conference for Undergraduate Research which was held at The University of Texas at Austin in April, 1997.  This thesis was the springboard for the completion of The Code in The Plain Text and other topics that she has authored which are soon to be published.

Ms. Cain received her degrees as a non-traditional student, receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in 1997 from The University of Texas - Pan American when she was 58, and her Master’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin in 1998 when she was 59.  The Master’s degree was accomplished through a Fellowship received as a result of her undergraduate honors thesis.  She completed her Master’s degree in 10 months 27 days in order to get on with her writing.

Some of Ms. Cain's manuscripts are related to early childhood learning and literacy.  It’s Time to Get into The Ark is based on our learning institutions  from a Christian prospective, and Gossamer Wings Early Education Curriculum, Methodology and Pedagogy is based on classical and current research in early learning and literacy.  The curriculum and philosophy have been tried for a period of more than five years and have proven to have produced excellent results in children ages two through five years old.

The Bible Code in the Plain Text is the results of about sixteen years of research but Donna's quest to discover more of the Bible's truths dates back to the early 80's.  During this time, she became an ordained minister and focused primarily on the teachings of the Old Testament.  She found that much of the Old Testament traditions were not arbitrary practices but meaningful customs that all pointed to Jesus Christ as Messiah.   Donna's desire to understand more of the Old Testament, and why it is still important and relevant in the lives of Christians today compelled  her to print her findings on this topic.  The church has lost much of the ability to deal with current events, simply due to a lack of understanding of the character, ways, and thoughts of God.  As she got into the study deeper, she realized that, although a  lifelong church member, she knew virtually nothing about the deeper meaning of the Old Testament, and how that was tied into the New Testament.  The results of her experience is The Bible Code in the Plain Text.

In addition to being an author, educator, scholar and philosopher, Ms Cain is also a wife, mother and grandmother.
